Nemanja is from Serbia and trained as a nursing technician there. He came to Germany with Careloop in 2023 and now works as a fully accredited nursing technician in the field of vascular surgery and nephrology in Mönchengladbach. Here is an insight into Nemanja’s new life in Germany and his experiences with Careloop.

What is your name?

My name is Nemanja and I am 22 years old.

Which employer do you currently work for? Which ward do you work on?

I currently work in a clinic in Mönchengladbach. I work in vascular surgery and nephrology, where I have the opportunity to work with first-class specialists on a daily basis and expand my professional skills.

How did you first hear about Careloop and what was the process like with us?

I found out about Careloop via the internet and through a language school in Belgrade. Working with Careloop was extremely uncomplicated and professional from start to finish. Thanks to their expert approach, every step, from the preparation of documents to the final arrival, was smooth and stress-free.

Tell us about your challenges. How did we overcome them together?

To be honest, there were very few challenges. Careloop was by my side every step of the way and made everything easier, from learning German to preparing the necessary documents to professional and cultural integration in Germany. The Careloop team is so experienced and organized that all potential challenges were already solved before I arrived. Their expertise in matching candidates with the right employer is truly commendable.

Nemanja made good use of the waiting time between signing the contract and his arrival to obtain his B2 German certificate in Serbia. This allowed him to fully concentrate on his professional recognition in Germany.

How was the communication with Careloop?

Communication with Careloop was excellent. They were always quick in their responses to all my questions and offered not only technical but also mental support. Their enthusiasm and dedication was evident every step of the way, which gave me added confidence in the whole process. Their ability to understand my needs and concerns made this process extremely enjoyable and stress-free.

What is your current life in Germany like? How do you feel in this new life?

My current life in Germany is fulfilling in the best way possible. Professionally, I work in an environment that is both inspiring and engaging, with colleagues who are extremely professional and open to collaboration. Everyday life is well organized, with all the conveniences that this system offers, while social life brings a wealth of new experiences and acquaintances. I feel happy and content in this new chapter of my life, integrating myself more and more into German society and culture every day.

How does the ratio of salary to cost of living compare to Serbia?

The ratio of salary to cost of living in Germany is much more advantageous compared to Serbia. The salary I earn here not only allows me to cover all living expenses, but also to enjoy a higher standard of living, with the opportunity to save and plan for the future. In addition, the many benefits and security offered by living in Germany further contribute to a sense of financial stability.

What advice would you give to other nurses who want to come to Germany?

My advice to anyone thinking about moving to Germany is to take advantage of the opportunity that Careloop offers together with Klett EDU in Serbia. The free German course, recognition of diplomas and networking with the best employers across Germany are priceless resources. Believe in yourself, invest effort in learning the language and be open to new challenges. Careloop will support you every step of the way and provide you with the confidence and expertise you need to successfully move into a new environment.
